The growing department of Psychiatry at the OU-TU School of Community Medicine and OU Health Physicians in Tulsa seeks candidates in general psychiatry, geriatrics, child psychiatry, addiction and psychosomatic medicine.  Applicants must be board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (or board eligible with recent completion of an ACGME accredited residency or fellowship) and eligible for an unrestricted medical license in Oklahoma.

General Position

Primary responsibilities will include patient care, resident and student teaching, and participation in scholarly activities.  The OU-TU School of Community Medicine is a regional campus of the University of Oklahoma, College of Medicine, in partnership with the University of Tulsa.  Seven residency programs and 6 sub-specialty fellowship programs are offered at the school. The OU Health Physicians Tulsa practice offers a full range of care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. A competitive salary and an excellent benefits package are offered.

Child Position

The OU-TU School of Community Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and OU Health Physicians Tulsa seeks candidates in General Psychiatry, at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level.  Applicants must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and a graduate of an ACGME residency.  Applicants must also be eligible for an unrestricted Oklahoma medical license.  Preferred qualifications include experience as a faculty member in an academic child psychiatry program including the teaching and clinical supervision of psychiatry residents and child psychiatry fellows.

The School of Community Medicine is a regional campus of the University of Oklahoma, College of Medicine, in partnership with the University of Tulsa, which recently expanded its undergraduate medical education program to a full 4 year track.  The physician practice offers a full range of care in both inpatient and outpatient settings and includes the clinical supervision of psychiatry residents and child psychiatry fellows.  The person will function primarily in a service capacity but the position also entails teaching and research responsibilities.  You can read more about the OU-TU School of Community Medicine here.

Life in Tulsa
