Be a Poll Worker

Oklahoma's polling places are staffed by volunteers. You can be a poll worker in the county in which you're registered to vote. If you're passionate about representative democracy and election integrity, have extra time on election days or during early voting, and want to make a few bucks, consider becoming a poll worker! You can find more information about poll worker opportunities on the Oklahoma State Election Board website.

Power the Polls is a first-of-its-kind initiative to recruit poll workers. It is an effort through Work Elections that recruits poll workers to ensure safe and fair elections for all voters. Work Elections was developed by the Fair Elections Center, a national, non-profit voting rights and election reform organization. They work to offer solutions to the obstacles of poll worker recruitment by centralizing information that can reach wide audiences.

Students can sign up through the Power the Polls website or fill out an application through the Work Elections website to receive additional information on how they can work the polls on election day.
