Benefits of OU Concurrent Enrollment

Here are some of the many reasons for your students to choose Concurrent Enrollment at OU, including:

OU offers a special discounted rate for high school students. Because the state policy allows OU to waive tuition for qualified Oklahoma high school seniors, they will only pay just $80 per credit hour. (Juniors and non-resident students do not qualify and will pay tuition but get the discounted fee rate.)

We offer unique classes from some of OU’s most notable professors. Check out our list of featured courses. Students can take courses like Introduction to Sociology or Political Science to fulfill general education requirements.

There are different ways to experience Concurrent Enrollment courses at OU. Students can take a class on our Norman campus, choosing from hundreds of courses to find one that fits their schedule. Or students can take a class online.

OU offers select online course offerings that have waived fees for eligible Oklahoma seniors and juniors, meaning these courses are FREE to OK seniors

OU Concurrent Enrollment has been extremely valuable to my students at Norman High School. It's a great way for students to explore the world of college and its curriculum in the comfort of their high school campus. I love that they earn college credit AND high school credit at the same time without having to pay for college tuition. With the differing ways to take Concurrent Enrollment, my students have loved having an option that fits their own needs and preferences. I have students who take OU Concurrent classes on OU's campus, at Norman High School, and through virtual courses. OU Concurrent Enrollment is a fantastic way for students to get a head start in college!

Sooner Discovery

Students can enhance their Concurrent Enrollment and college life experience through Sooner Discovery! This four-week program allows students to live on campus in the residential colleges, take college courses, earn credit, explore Norman, Oklahoma City, Tulsa; and experience life as a Sooner for the summer!
