JRCoE Named Apple Distinguished Program

The Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education has been named an Apple Distinguished Program for 2015-17. This is the second time the college has earned the honor, with its first designation coming in 2013-15.

Sheehan Named National Teacher of the Year Finalist

Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education alumnus Shawn Sheehan is one of four finalists for the National Teacher of the Year award. The winner will be announced in February. Sheehan is the 2016 Oklahoma State Teacher of the Year and teaches specialized education algebra at Norma High School.

Joe Castiglione isn't just the director of athletics at the University of Oklahoma. He is a Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education graduate. He is an instructor in the college. He is a member of our Board of Advocates. And he is doing big things on the athletics fields and in the classrooms.

OU Debt Free Teachers Program

KFOR Highlights Debt Free Teacher Program

Recently, KFOR-TV highlighted the Debt Free Teachers Program at the Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education. Students who are selected for the program by teaching in high-need locations or subject areas can have up to $20,000 of their student loan debt forgiven over a four-year period.
