Michael Omi, Assoc. Prof., Asian American Studies - UC-Berkley

Michael Omi

You are invited to attend the lecture entitled: "Who Are We? Racial Formation in the United States" presented by Michael Omi.  Professor Omi explores how the dominant ideology of colorblindness exhorts us to "get beyond race," but we continue to grapple with issues of how, when, where and why individuals are racially classified.  Download the flyer here (PDF)

The presentation will be from 5:30pm to 7:30pm on Tuesday, March 24 in the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation auditorium (Room 1140) in Gaylord College of Journalism, 395 West Lindsey St., Norman.  Classes are welcome to attend.  For more information, please contact Angela Urick at Urick@ou.edu
