Here at The University of Oklahoma's Norman campus, we recognize that the Summer Semester is a busy time for many students and campus is far from empty. Recognizing the importance of engagement even during the summer, the Office of Student Life and our partners around campus continue to create opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and friends of OU to stay engaged on campus.

Beat the heat of summer and get a get a free sno cone every Tuesday in June and July! Open to all OU community members and guests. We encourage all guests to be in line by 12:45 p.m. to ensure sno-cones.

Aquatics is a lifelong activity that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you enjoy swimming laps, playing around in the water, water aerobics classes, or swim lessons, water is a great way to increase your health and lifelong well being.

The University of Oklahoma has one of the most active Intramural Sports programs in the country, logging more than 28,000 participations per year. Whether you enjoy structured leagues or informal activities, this is the place for you. The mission of the program is to provide exercise, recreation, competition, and fun to all participants and employees in a relaxed, yet structured environment. Participation in Intramural Sports activities can provide individuals with an enjoyable recreational experience, help develop habits that carry over into everyday life, promote wholesome social relationships and sportsmanship, and provide an opportunity for the development of a healthy body and mind.

The OU Esports & Gaming Venue is THE home for gamers on campus. While the venue is closed for daily operations during the summer, it is available for private reservations. These include birthday parties, department staff meetings, tours, and more. Reserve a time or learn more here: OU Esports & Gaming Venue Reservations.
Stay connected and engaged through the OU Gaming Club’s Discord server, our central hub for all things gaming at OU. The server is open to students, faculty, staff, and the broader public, and serves as the main platform for communicating upcoming events such as community game nights, tournaments, and summer weeklies like Smash and other FGC titles.

The OU Food Pantry is a student run initiative. Students are essential to the success of the OU Food Pantry mission. You can make a difference and give back to the OU community by registering to be a volunteer. OU Faculty and Staff are also welcome to participate in volunteer activities.
The OU Food Pantry will be open Tuesdays 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM & 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM during the summer.

As part of its continuing partnership with Norman On-Demand, OU SafeRide will be providing free rides to OU students, every weekend during the summer on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings from 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM. To be eligible for the no fare student SafeRide service, students must create their account using their official OU email address.
If you want to use the Norman On-Demand service, outside of SafeRide hours, it will be at a low cost of $3 per ride, plus $1 for each additional rider.
