Computer Engineering

From personal laptops to high-tech defense programs, computer engineers create and test computer programs, hardware and software to determine the best ways to upgrade and use the technology. The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Gallogly College of Engineering offers students professional courses using the most up-to-date technology. Students learn both in the classroom and through hands-on experiences. In their final course, students work in teams to solve a real-life engineering problem giving OU graduates an advantage over classroom-only education.

OU computer engineering students develop skills through experiential learning by practicing what is learned in the classroom through real world experiences. With accomplished faculty and expert guest speakers, students are empowered through professional development and receive competitive advantages in pursuing future careers. The Computer Engineering Program is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. A computer engineering student graduates with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering degree. A Master of Science in Computer Engineering or a Master of Science in Telecommunications Systems are also available.
