Michele Nabonne

Michele Nabonne is a dedicated higher education professional with a strong background in leadership and student success. A first-generation college graduate from Tulsa, OK, Michele earned a BS in Zoology (1994), a BA in Psychology (1995), and an MA in Administrative Leadership (2019), all from the University of Oklahoma.

Currently serving as OU’s Graduation Success Coordinator, Michele helps seniors achieve degree completion. Her previous roles include Director and Lead Academic Advisor at the Academic Advising Resource Center and Advising Coordinator for the Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences. She has also held leadership positions with OACADA and NACADA.

Michele’s commitment to excellence in advising earned her the Provost’s Outstanding Academic Advising Award in 2002. She is an Associate Certified Coach (ICF) and taught CAS 1543 Ethical and Intercultural Leadership, focusing on cultural fluency and leadership skills.

Michele lives in SW Oklahoma on a Wildlife Management Area with her husband, Joe, a Wildlife Biologist. Their daughter, Sylvia, is a licensed cosmetologist and college student at NWOSU in Alva, OK.
