Graduate students with different student status types, (e.g. graduate assistantships, student visa type/requirements, program format, etc.) may affect graduate student enrollment minimums. Norman, OU Online, and Tulsa campus graduate students, see the table below for enrollment scenarios and minimums. Students should always contact their academic unit to ensure they are meeting departmental requirements.
Students looking for information regarding enrollment considerations after receiving outside funding sources, OU scholarships, or other financial aid sponsors should contact those funding offices directly or the OU Office of Financial Aid.

Ordinarily, graduate students will be considered as enrolled full-time if they are enrolled in 9 or more credit hours for the fall and spring semesters.
Full-time enrollment for summer is 6 or more credit hours.

Part-time for the summer term is 5 or less hours credit hours.
