Accordion Htl and Accordion Entry Htl – Bootstrap Accordion
Accordions are a very useful component, but they can be touchy. Read carefully to ensure that your accordion functions as it should, appears as you would like, and does not break anything on your page.
NOTE: The FIRST Accordion Entry is going to be expanded on your page by default – you may change this in the Accordion Htl editing options.
Usage

Where to Find It
What It Looks Like – Placed on Page
Like it says up top, Accordions are touchy components, so pay close attention to these steps.
- Place Text component on page – Accordions do not allow you to add anything directly ABOVE them once they are on the page – having an empty Text component on your page will not be visible to users, but this will give you the flexibility to add something above the Accordion later if needed.
- Place ONE Accordion Htl on your page – this will ensure that each entry will expand/collapse
NOTE: Placing an Accordion will place a NEW 'Drag components here' box on your page – anything ABOVE that new placeholder will look like an Accordion Entry.
- Place Accordion Entry Htl right above the new 'Drag components here' box.
- Place next Accordion Entry Htl BELOW first Accordion Entry Htl – if you place a new Accordion Entry Htl INSIDE another entry, the Accordion could break you page, and it would not function the way it should.
- Repeat step 3 for as many Accordion Entries as are needed – new entries may be added wherever you'd like within the Accordion – you may also drag them around to reorder them.

When you select the component, you can:
- Edit: Edit component
- Copy: Copy the component to place elsewhere (you can only cut/copy and paste within the same browser tab)
- Cut: Cut the component to place elsewhere (you can only cut/copy and paste within the same browser tab)
- Delete: Delete a component
- New...: An alternate way to add a new component
- Paste: Paste a component you have cut/copied (you can only cut/copy and paste within the same browser tab)
- Group: To select multiple components at once (to move, cut, copy)
NOTE: NO CSS CLASS or ID, may 'Disable First Item Open' if you'd like ALL ENTRIES closed
(default is first entry open)

Note: Previewing Accordion in CMS
Once you have an accoridon placed on your page and you want to preview your good work before publishing (always a good idea!), note that your accordion will not collapse. To view it collapsed (and functioning the way it will on your live site), refresh your browser window with the page in Preview or View as Published, and it should cooperate. Once you confirm the page is functioning as it should, put your page back in Edit mode (or close the View as Published tab), then Publish your page.
Also note that the first accordion entry is always open by default – may be closed in Accordion Htl settings.
