Due to the widespread nature of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the University of Oklahoma has limited campus tours to high school seniors, high school juniors, and transfer students. Available tours are open for registration now. Tour dates will be added throughout the school year to ensure our plan to welcome guests to campus stays up-to-date. Thank you for your continued patience during this time.
Due to the widespread nature of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the current recommendations from the CDC, the University of Oklahoma has implemented the following policies for Spring 2021 campus experiences:
We appreciate your understanding as we continue to prioritize the health and safety of our staff, students, and visitors, and we certainly hope to see you on campus soon.
The safety of our guests, students, and campus community is of the utmost importance to our team. We hope you will respect and understand the changes we have made to our campus experiences with your safety in mind.
Our custodial staff and specialized contractors are working around the clock to disinfect campus buildings, and daily cleaning protocols have been enhanced in response to COVID-19. Read more about the Clean and Green initiative at ou.edu/cleanandgreen.

Each OU campus has implemented and will enforce a policy mandating that masks be worn by employees, students, patients, and visitors (1) when they are inside University facilities and vehicles and (2) when they are outdoors on campus and social distancing of at least six feet is not possible. Masks must cover the individual’s nose and mouth, and bandanas, scarves, gaiters, or buffs are not acceptable. Each campus policy has been reviewed and approved by OU’s Chief COVID Officer and is effective until further notice.
Each visitor to campus, including prospective students and their one guest, will be required to complete the Visitor COVID-19 Screening within 24 hours of the campus tour. The screening form will be emailed to registrants 24 hours prior to the tour. Should any guests arrive on campus without completing the screening form, they will be required to complete it prior to the tour. If you do not complete the form or do not receive clearance, you will not be able to attend the campus tour.
Once you arrive on campus, a current student tour guide will take you on an hour and a half walking tour of campus. Comfy shoes are encouraged! Please also check the weather for Norman, Oklahoma ahead of your visit.
As a part of the policies we have enacted for this academic year in response to the ongoing pandemic, we have limited the amount of guests who are able to tour at a specific date and time. We are closely following these capacities in order to provide every guest the best and safest experience.
We will do our best to accommodate all guests, however, our campus tours may reach capacity. We encourage you to schedule your tour as soon possible to ensure you have a spot that fits your schedule.
Our campus tours will have a strict capacity limit and often fill a few weeks in advance. We will not be accepting walk-ins at this time. If you need assistance, please contact us at (405) 325-2151 or email@example.com.
If there is no availability on the day that initially worked best for your schedule, we have a few alternative options for you to consider:
Many of our academic colleges offer additional information sessions, which provide a more in-depth look at specific programs of interest. These are a great opportunity to tour major-specific facilities and meet staff and faculty members from your intended academic college. Academic programs are offering many virtual and on-campus options — click here to see available academic sessions.
If you are unable to attend a scheduled campus tour, feel free to explore campus on your own. You can stop by the Visitor's Center to pick up a self-guided tour brochure, or view this one on your mobile device.
