We welcome the different perspectives transfer students bring to the OU family. You are classified as a transfer student if you have attended an accredited college or university and have attempted more than six semester hours after high school graduation, excluding remedial (pre-college) work or credit hours accumulated as a concurrently enrolled high school student.

Transfer students are welcome to visit OU anytime. However, if you are looking for a more tailored experience as a transfer student, register for one of our transfer student campus visits! You'll learn how to successfully transfer to OU, receive transfer scholarship information, engage with your transfer admissions counselor, and have the opportunity to attend an in-depth academic session. They are offered throughout the spring semester on the following dates:

  • Friday, April 26

If you would like to meet with an admissions counselor during your campus visit, you can sign up for that within your campus tour registration. We have admissions counselors available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to meet with you. If you have more specific concerns or questions, you are welcome to reach out directly to the transfer admissions team at
