Using the Netscape
Browser is Required..., Please do not use "any
other" Internet Browser to view this Course.
Netscape Navigator has been
selected as the Web Browser "of choice" (in part) because of
its popularity, and its "ease of use". The
University of Oklahoma uses Netscape on (all) of the Local Servers,
so it is easy for students to have Internet (and Netscape Browsers) access.
Generally speaking..., the Netscape Browser tools are straight forward
and are easy to understand and control. This WebStudy Class will strengthen
your knowledge of the Internet, and the World Wide Web by demonstrating
Web "Uses" in the context of Netscape Navigator Tools.
The Lesson Outline (below) is "linked"
such that the Introduction and each Successive
Lesson is a series of pages that interconnect. Your "job"
is to Go To: each "Link"..., complete each
of the 12 WebStudy Lessons, do the 12
WebStudy Assignments, and take the 12
WebStudy Quizzes. (...before June 7,
1997 to gain Academic Credit).
After you finish each Lesson..., the "hyperlinks"
will return you to "this page" (Lesson Plan).
Stay on Schedule!
(Use you Netscape Back Button to Return Here)
The "Suggested Schedule" is posted, but the "point"
of WebStudy is to give you the "flexability" to work "when
you want to"!
Do 30 minute sessions..., and take
a break. If you have Minor Problems..., move on. The
next portion of information may contain important clues! If you have Major
Problems understanding..., Say so! Don't Wait..., Come to Class
10:00a to 2:00p Monday through Friday, 307 Carnage, Parrington Oval. (May
12, 1997 to June 7, 1997)
Review each Lesson...,
Each WebStudy Lesson contains "valuable" information..., Look
at "each page" carefully!
Try not to make all of this "too hard". Just relax...,
and experiment with the Internet!
Don't overlook an important resource...,
If you don't understand something ask one of your Class
Members!
